K-Drama Review | “Our Beloved Summer” Attracting Viewers Attention With Romantic And Comedy Side.
In our beloved summer, Kook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) and Choi Woong (Choi Woo Shik) seemed to be high school batch mates who were persuaded to portray a documentary about the class’s first and last students. The documentary quickly went viral, and by the end of shooting scenes, they have fallen in love and begin dating, which lasts for a few years before they break up for unknown reasons. After ten years, as they end up collaborating for a period of time they must film their current situations again. How will they deal with the unresolved feelings for each other as they move forward in their lives separately? You’ll have to watch the show on your own for that.
REWATCH
Definitely romance part was the best to re-watch.
Romance:
The romance and the chemistry were just too Sweet. Overall romance was little slow-paced.
Love triangle: There is a love triangle in this drama second male lead likes the female lead from high school to present. But male lead was second male lead best friend so he didn’t confess his feeling towards her. There is also a second female lead who likes the male lead but her feelings also resolved as drama progress. There was no serious love triangles so don’t worry. And second male and female lead was not annoying like other dramas.
Kisses No:
Few kisses
Breakup:
There is no breakup and no misunderstanding after they got together (Healthy Relationship).
My personal opinions about the story of this drama
I do not even usually like rom-coms, particularly ones with no unique aspects like sports, crime, or the supernatural. But I’m happy to know I didn’t avoid it by classifying it as a typical rom-com. Even though it appears to be a typical romance drama, it takes us on an emotional roller coaster without going to waste its potential. It beautifully captures various aspects of life and thus lives up to its slice-of-life moniker. As I previously stated, I ended up going in with an open mind, and this show far exceeded my expectations.
