K-Drama Review | “Lawless Lawyer” Enthralling Viewers Attention With Thriller, Crime And Rom Com Side.
When I initially viewed this drama Lawless Lawyer, I thought the storyline was fascinating. A former thug who become a successful lawyer? The story revolves around the characters Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi of the Lawless Law Firm. Sang-pil, a former gangster turned lawyer, tries to revenge his mother and oppose those in positions of ultimate authority. He frequently turns to using his hands and legal loopholes to attain his objectives. Yes, this piqued my interest and prompted me to begin watching. I’ve seen several high-rated legal dramas, including While You Were Sleeping, I Can Hear Your Voice, and Mysterious Partner. Unlike these dramas, Lawless Lawyer features more dramatic and piercing sequences that stem from the main characters’ anger in seeking to bring down everything corrupt and opposes anybody who abuses their total position in society. It has storyline twists that will leave you wonder what’s going to happen in the new episode.
Re-watch
Definitely re-watch every part of this drama. For me, it’s a best law and crime drama of 2018.
Romance
Romance was mature and good. A lot of sweet moments.
Love triangle:
No Love Triangle. No annoying second leads.
Kisses No:
Few (Hot)
Break up:
No break up …. Just little separation (only for 1 or 2 episodes).
My personal opinions about the story of this drama
The art direction was excellent: everything worked, from the frame to the colors to the music. The action moments were also excellent, with excellent coordination and choreography. Everyone contributed something to the story, and I couldn’t bring myself to dislike anyone. Even the adversaries were fascinating to watch since they all adhered to a system of values and norms. Though the finale was a little unfortunate, it still accomplished what it set out to do. Despite a few loose ends, I believe they were done on purpose in the hopes of earning a second season (something I wouldn’t mind).
